Cherry Blossom Note Cards

I was at Barnes & Noble earlier today and thought maybe I should have some nice stationery or note cards. This was of course after I got sucked into that bookstore abyss… I originally went there to pick up a book I will be reading for my maymester class. When I discovered in my browsing that I could just take the book out of Bird Library for free I put down the book and proceeded to mull around the various sections of B&N. Magazines, travel books, different published works of Alice in Wonderland and other nick-knacks, I was pretty consumed by it all.

It had gotten dark outside and I was getting ready to checkout with my random book about surrealism,  and then I found all this fancy stationery. There was too much to choose from and I was going to abandon my new search for stationery that matched my personality, but then I went back to the cherry blossom note cards. I decided to take them because they were pretty but not overtly girly, and there are four differently styled cards in the pack. I’m a fan of variety.

Battling with my stagnant body weight

So here I am, weighing in once again… I’ve been on a food detox since Monday (3/22), which meant no more junk food - or more specifically everything in precise moderation. I’m all pumped up and I prepare my healthy turkey sandwiches, eating fruit, taking my dietary supplement to keep my digestive track going like it should, and yet my weight hasn’t budged. Yes, I know it’s only been (barely) five days, but isn’t something supposed to happen at least in the first week? I must be doing something wrong.

I walk somewhere everyday, whether it’s to class or to my car to go to the store, so doesn’t that all add up along with my daily exercise? I just don’t know what to do… all I want to do at this point is lose a measly 10 pounds and my world is crumbling because the damn SCALE WON’T BUDGE!!!

Maybe I need a new scale. What else should I think? I will give it another week, and adjust my diet accordingly. Meaning less of everything, which isn’t much to begin with. Is it possible that my body is holding on to whatever it can until it has no choice to let go of the weight. I think my body is in shock because I usually give in whenever I feel a slight urge to snack or nibble or… well you get the idea.

I don’t want to lose weight in an unhealthy way, but I keep on getting disappointed. And I’ve searched the endless Web for tricks, tips and secrets… alas I will have to keep at it. By Sunday I will weigh in and if the scale tells me that all I’ve done is manage to maintain the same weight as when I started, something needs to change.

I will keep random updates on this issue from time to time.✌♥☺
